Commonwealth Secretariat – Gender case studies in support of the Commonwealth Blue Charter on common ocean values and actions

Under the Commonwealth Blue Charter, Action Groups have been established to support finding ocean solutions across 10 areas, such as ocean observations, marine protected areas, and ocean acidification. As a resource for the Action Groups, the Commonwealth Secretariat commissioned us to create four case studies to highlight effective efforts to increase gender equity and to profile female leadership in the ocean sector.

We worked with the Commonwealth Secretariat to identify the individuals and programs that would be the focus of the case studies.

We interviewed international leaders in ocean science and gender equity and based on those interviews developed 4-page accessible and engaging studies that meaningfully communicate the processes, principles, and lessons learned for program case studies, and tell the story of the person for profiles.
